I finally finished this embroidery piece. The pattern is from doe-c-doe, a nice looking forest scene featuring mushrooms.
This was a little time consuming, because of all the filling. I think it might need something else, maybe more shading. But I'm an impatient crafter, always looking to start a new project, so I declare this one finished.
Wow, the red does not photograph well. Don't look at it too long or you might go blind ;-)
I guess now I can go and work on my cardigan. I finished the lower part of the body and 2/3 of the first sleeve. I only have two and a half skeins left. The panicky feeling known as "I'm going to run out of yarn" is slowly but surely setting in.
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to stop by and say thanks for checking out my pattern over at So September. If you get a chance to try it out I would love to see how it turns out!
You have a lovely blog - I'm going to go backtrack through it now to see your embroidery projects :) Thanks again!
Corinne
The mushrooms are simply beautiful - I'm looking forward to seeing what you're going to do with them as I'm sure the final thing will be even more beautiful (if that's at all possible :)). As for the cardigan, it's so neat and tidy that I'm now certain you are a perfectionist :)
ReplyDeleteJedva čekam da vidim gotov kardigan, a pečurkice su mnogo slatke.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Your embroidery is good!
ReplyDeleteI love the color ant the yarn of your cardigan.I always get afraid of running out of yarn.
Dobila si nagradu od mene :). Navrati na moj blog da vidiš o čemu se radi :)
ReplyDeleteYour embroidery looks fantastic! I mentioned on another post on your blog how I was going to tint my elephant with crayons and that's because I never do any filling stitches. You're inspiring me to try it now. :)
